Approximately 20 acres with a new 3,860 square ft, handicap designed home, a 40
x 80 shop, and a 12 x 24 horse barn. The building site is wooded. The lake view
from the large windows in the dining room, living room, and the pool room is
spectacular! An excellent fishing lake is located less than a mile away and the
area has some of the best deer, bear, duck, and goose hunting in Minnesota. The
property is hilly and is fronted by two township roads which have very little
traffic. (Probably only a half a dozen cars all day) The surrounding land is
hilly and partially wooded. Winter provides many sports such as snowmobiling,
(a groomed trail fronts the property) cross country and downhill skiing,
sledding, ice fishing, hunting, and other events. The people here are friendly
The house was built in 2007.
It is a rambler style with one level. There are presently 2 bedrooms, 2 baths,
and a study and office that could be used as bedrooms. There is an 10 x 14
indoor, in door/in ground “Endless Swimming Pool” in a large pool room
overlooking a lake(www.EndlessPools.com)
which is approximately 200 yards away about 100 ft lower than the house. The
view side of the house has many large windows which afford us a “year around”
spectacular view of the lake... The house was designed for a possible
“caregiver” apartment which could be semi private. The main bath room has a
large handicap shower, a handicap sink, and a whirlpool tub. The kitchen is
also handicap accessible and all the doors in the house are 36 inches wide. The
two car garage is also heated. The home has 3 walk-in closets (one of which is
160 sq ft), a pantry, one of the walk in closets is built to serve as a storm
shelter with special construction. The home has a heat pump with air
conditioning and heat to about 10 degrees outside, a boiler for floor heat
through out the house and garage, a gas furnace with an automatic starting
generator, (which also provides power to the well, and essential appliances) and
an outdoor wood furnace which is set up to heat the pool as well as the entire
house. The house was built with quality materials by a contractor known for
building “quality homes”.
The shop is a 40 x 80 frame
building with a 14 ft insulated ceiling and with Buffalo board side walls. The
building has 3 large doors, with one electric opener and one sliding door to a
concrete loading dock. There is an insulated 18 x 24 work shop built inside
with electric heat and a wood furnace. There is also an insulated “veggie room
in this work area. The building has a “frost proof water hydrant and is
completely wired for 110 volt and 220 volt electric service.
The horse barn is a 12 x 24
“open one side” building with a small tack room inside. Water and electricity
has been brought into the main horse pen.
We are offering our “dream
home” for sale because of health reasons that, hopefully, will help with
relocation to a warm winter climate.
I would consider some
financing with at least a 1/3 down payment.
